The event will be held in the prestigious Polignano in Italy, and wishful will be recording the event on all platforms.
But before we go, let’s get a glimpse of the stunning scenery of Polignano!
Polignano a Mare is a coastal town in the south of Bari, with a long history of human settlement in ancient times.
The best thing about the town is that the seaside is a straight cliff with huge white rock cliffs that plunge into the sea like a knife.
The town’s old town is built on the seaside cliffs dotted with limestone caves, and many of the buildings are cut directly into the boulders, a wonderful feat of ingenuity, surrounded by cliffs.
If you want to explore the cliffs at the edge of town, you don’t have to worry about which way to go, because every stone-paved path leads to a cliff-top terrace overlooking the azure sea.
Passing through the 16th century Arch of Arco Marchesale, we arrived at the old town.
The old town still retains its medieval look, with old buildings of light to dark honey color interspersed. Each house is carefully decorated with flowers and greenery, and each white stone wall is sprinkled with sunlight.
Visit the town’s old churches, such as the Church of Santa Maria Assunta, located on Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II. The church is a 13th century place of worship built on the ruins of a pagan temple and contains centuries-old religious artifacts and the remains of Saint Vito, the town’s patron saint.
It’s a slow-paced town, and a vacation here involves walking around, sitting on the street, sipping coffee and enjoying the local cuisine at a leisurely pace. Strolling through the narrow streets and alleys, the little stores on the street are a sight to behold, lost in the lazy Italian-style afternoon atmosphere.
After all the fun on the cliffs, how can you miss the beach in a coastal town!
Via Traiana, a stone path built in Roman times, leads through the towering bridge and down the cliffs to the turquoise Adriatic Sea and the unique stone beach.
Via Traiana is the remains of an ancient Roman bridge built in 109 A.D. The long, honey-colored avenue runs through several cities in southern Italy. The ancient road, the crumbling ruins along the way and the clear turquoise water show the romance and beauty of historical vicissitudes. Below the cliffs is a rocky beach (Lama Monachile) that is a masterpiece of nature. The huge rocky cliffs on both sides guard the tranquility of the beach like guards, and the water gently pours into the narrow beach in wave after wave.
The history of the beach also dates back to Roman times, when it was used as a port of call for ships coming from the East to Italy. Many people would lie on the beach, admiring the sparkling water and enjoying the gentle sunlight before sunset. Or go barefoot into the clear waters and feel the lazy waves kissing their feet. You can also take a boat trip to see the limestone sea caves formed by sea and wind erosion.
Although this town is not yet famous, it has a famous restaurant! The world’s most romantic cave restaurant, Grotta Palazzese, is built in a cavern on a limestone cliff plunging into the sea, with the blue Adriatic Sea at its feet. Dining here, the sound of the waves lapping against the rocks is better than the best symphony in the world, adding a lot of romantic charm to the town.
Is the picture alone enough to make your heart flutter? Of course, the scenery of Puglia is much more than that! We need to immerse ourselves in it to experience the exclusive style of the southern Mediterranean.
Let’s meet in Puliga on April 19! Ci vediamo!
