At this Spring Festival, filled with joy and reunion, WISHFUL is honored to join hands with the Consulate General of China in Milan to meticulously plan and present a moving Oriental scroll—a “Year of the Dragon” themed tram, which started traversing the ancient streets and modern cityscape of Milan from February 8th, drawing a unique cultural landscape. This special tram is not only a feast for the eyes but also a journey of cultural exchange. It weaves through the heart of Milan, passing landmarks such as the Milan Cathedral and Sforza Castle, allowing every passenger to feel the joy and harmony of the Chinese New Year.
As the designer and executor of this project, the WISHFUL team conducted in-depth research into Chinese traditional culture, carefully selecting and designing every detail inside and outside the tram. From patterns of famous landmarks like the Great Wall and the Temple of Heaven to Chinese New Year dolls and elements celebrating the Year of the Dragon, every decoration reflects our deep respect for Chinese culture and our best wishes for the Spring Festival. Our goal is not only to bring the warmth of home to Chinese expatriates living in Italy but also to enable Milan’s citizens and visitors to get closer to and understand Chinese traditional festivals.
This is the second time WISHFUL has had the honor of participating in decorating activities for the Spring Festival, with each cooperation with the Consulate General of China in Milan filled with new challenges and exciting opportunities. We cherish this opportunity to contribute to Sino-Italian cultural exchanges through our professional knowledge and creative design.
As the tram runs through the streets of Milan from February 8th to March 3rd, we warmly invite everyone to experience this unique Spring Festival celebration. Whether you are a Chinese expatriate, personnel from Chinese-funded institutions, teachers and volunteers at the Confucius Institute, students, or anyone who loves cultural exchange, WISHFUL sends you our sincerest New Year greetings: May you have a happy Spring Festival and a prosperous Year of the Dragon, enjoying this special festive atmosphere and cultural journey with us.
